The minority leader in parliament and the MP for Tamale central, HARUNA IDRISU directed a post to Sarkodie tuesday afternoon asking the celebrated rapper and his colleaugues in the industry to state facts and rather not to go about the regular propagander and lies been told about the politicians with national issues.
this comes a day after two of Ghana’s iconic starts, Samini and sarkodie who took to his twitter to throw his support for the NPP and prompting his possibly endorsement deal with the Political party and Sarkodie who released a song last Monday evening, Sarkodie respectively, in the song SARKODIE stated,
” when dumsor (power outage) and inflation was at its peak , I voiced out without fear nor favor and condemned the government, if am enjoying uninterrupted power supply and my children would have a free Secondary school today, then am sorry Nana continue 4 more”.
The law-maker in a post on Facebook disagree with the musician when it comes to issues based on dumsor. he cautioned Sarkodie and others to desist from telling lies in their lyrics when they are being paid by political parties for endorsement to revive their dead careers,
the MP Posted a picture of the former and current president showing facts and attributing to every president the figures of watts they contributed to the energy sector, which shows clearly the mills and Mahama government contributed immensely in the energy sector.
“@Sarkodie or any other musician musician whose career is at moribundity (about to die) can recive any amount of money to endorse a political party, however the endorsement message should be not be punctuated with naked lies or embellish with sickly untruths. it is an incontrovertible fact that his excellency president john dramani mahama solved dumsor, and thers is an overwhemling evidence to this fact pointed with data. data be hobbled with som low musical bars” the MP state.
Endorsement by starts/influencers ahead of elections happens to be normal in the political seasons and it seems to be one of the only way for an artiste and citizens to make it and have their own share of the national cakes from the politician, sadly, the African politician only employ the services of other professionals when it is election time, they will use them to gain power and then what happens..? AWAY. THEY RUN.
