Ghanaian Hip hop music over the years has enjoy less airplay by the main media compared to other genres, although most of the artiste including the up coming ones are doing Hip hop music, this has influenced some of them in going into the media friendly type of music.
Hip-hop musician M.anifest in a series of tweets has finally concluded that there is a lot of false Naratives about Hip Hop in Ghana which is mostly spread by the media.
After catching up with Ghana Music released in the last couple of months through streaming networks, The deep Rapper is shocked with how Hip Hop music from Ghana, especially the Asaaka(Drill) which has flooded most of the streaming networks like Apple,Boomplay,Aftown and others in the era of Afrobeats.
According to the “No Fears” rapper, Hip hop was accepted ages ago by the large following of Ghanaian music , most artiste including Lord kenya, Obrafour and Reggie Rockstone were all doing hip-hop with different branding which they call it hip-life and were accepted by Ghanaians.
